Is Mitch dead today? Here’s what the news coverage has to say:

  1. Margaret Hartmann for New York Magazine’s Intelligencer in an article titled “So No One’s Talked to Mitch McConnell in Two Weeks?” writes that “Mitch McConnell’s staff have declined to answer basic questions about what work he is doing — 37 days after he was loaded into the back of an ambulance and vanished from public view. His staff, led by $226,000-a-year longtime aide Terry Camack, refused to even say if the senator had spoken to any of them in recent days.”

  2. Farrah Tomazin  writes in an article for the Daily Beast asking that the senator’s office “come clean.” Tomazin notes that Mitch’s staff refuse to answer any questions about the senator’s status, noting that his staff “refused to even say if the senator had spoken to any of them in recent days.”

  3. An article in Newsweek today notes that “the Governor of Kentucky, Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear said he has received no communication from Senator Mitch McConnell or his office regarding the senator's health status, calling the lack of an update ‘concerning.’

‘I haven't heard a thing. Not an email, not a letter, not a call, not a video... absolutely nothing,’ Beshear added on SiriusXM on Monday. ‘When you represent the people of Kentucky, and you've been in a hospital for a month, and you've missed all the votes, you owe your boss an explanation. It's been reported that he's had 20-minute conversations with different individuals, so call into a news station for 5 minutes or put out a short video,’ the governor added.”

Mitch is not acting like a person who is alive, but who knows?
